Judy Charlene Jack, 73 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Friday, May 1, 2015 at her residence. Cremation is planned with private family services to be held at a later date. Judy was born November 16, 1941 in Kewanee, IL to Vernon and Margaret (Burchett) Reiff. She graduated from William Chrisman in 1959 and later from Graceland University as a Registered Nurse. She has worked at several hospitals primarily in obstetrics. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Community of Christ. She is survived by 4 siblings, Susan Woods and husband Kirby, Ron Reiff and wife Melissa, Terry Reiff and wife Carol Ann and John Reiff and wife Earlynn; 2 step sons, Edward Jack and Vincent Jack; step grandsons, a niece, Karen Garber and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Jack in 2008, her parents and a brother Mike Reiff who was killed in Vietnam in 1968. Donald H. Hartel, 94, died April 18, 2015. He was born January 18, 1921 in Clay County, MO., near the Arley Community. He graduated from Kearney High School in 1939. He married Betty Gwin on November 14, 1943. He worked as a farmer, carpenter, and cabinet-maker. He was a life-long faithful member of the Arley United Methodist Church.
Alfred James McNeal, 90, of Smithville, MO passed on April 18, 2015 at the Kansas City VA Hospital. He was born on January 4, 1925 in Sayre, PA to Nathaniel McNeal and Susie Irene Strope. Alfred served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and received a purple heart for his sacrifices during the Battle of Iwo Jima. He was married to this loving wife for 53 years, Pauline Moore and to this union, 6 children were born. In all his years of work, Alfred was most proud of the business he started, Al’s Cabinet Shop, where he made and installed custom cabinets. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and later in life, he learned how to play the guitar.

Kenneth Andrew Osburn passed on February 25, 2015, at his home in Smithville, Missouri. He was born July 31, 1957, to Charles and Norma (Gross) Osburn. Ken was an airline pilot for Air Midwest, Reno Air and American Airlines. Ken attended elementary school at Visitation School and Southwest High School in Kansas City, and graduated from Midway High School in West Line, Missouri.

Lula Fern (Webb) Barber, 96 formerly of Edgerton, MO passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at her home in Kansas City. She was born October 29, 1918 in Clay County, Linden Missouri. She graduated 8th grade from Faubion Elementary School. She worked as a nanny, cook and housekeeper when she was 14 years old. She was married to Willard Irvin barber on May 6, 1935 in Liberty, Missouri. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
